    German Sniper Patch

I would appreciate some thoughts on this one,

I don't believe it to be original, it does however look quite old. Does anyone know the history on this style of badge, or does anyone believe it to be original?

    thanks

This style of badges is postwar, made for the Bundeswehr.
      Here two more examples.

Thank you to both of you for responding.

I have often wondered what information, badges, exists for 1957 versions of the Sniper's Patch, then the Bundeswehr patches.

Were they one and the same?

The last patch shown above with the new German flag, when did this patch first get issued?

I do have a lot of different books on German snipers but this is a subject never documented.

          Hi,

there are no 57er versions of sniper patches, and there are no official issued sniper patches in the Bundeswehr.

The patches are not "made for the Bundeswehr", they are made for private use and for "making money" for the seller.

The fake patch is not that old it just has been tortured in a garage with hand tools and made dirty.
