General Assault Badge "100" Maker RS?

Hi, I am new to the forum and hope that I am doing this right. Anyways I have a chance to purchase an General Assault Badge "100" from a local antique dealer in a small town. The problem I have is that on the back on the right-hand side is the maker mark RS? Is this a familiar maker or is this a fake? I don't have any photos just to make it that much more difficult. The RS appears to be engraved into the badge. Any ideas......PLEASE!!

RS didn't make numbered General Assault badges. RK and JFS did. Neither had thier mark engraved, rather it was raised up.
Do a search for numbered Gen Asstls on this forum and you will find many examples.

          Hi Shawn,

          Welcome to the forum!

In this case RS doesn't stand for "Rudolf Souval", it stands for "rat sh*t".

          Sorry, couldn't resist.

          Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Hi Shawn firstly welcome to the forum, you ll have hours of fun. Would advise that you keep well away from this award, and that before buying anything you get some background knowledge on the awards you are after, believe me its worth it in the end otherwise you,ll get stung. There are some excellent quality fakes out there. All the best.

Wrong Mike, completely wrong, I really thought you were aware by now that these late ware badges all received the RS engravement, with RS standing for "RückSeite" of course
