      Hi Chris

Never seen such a strong gilded FLL before, but they for sure both look ok to me. Too bad about the missing backplates.

I would prefer the Juncker anyway above the FLL though
      Kind regards,
      Giel

In referral to Barry's "Gold" Close Combat Clasps,
the one 'clasp' does not match-up with that award
document shown because it is for a "Silver" clasp
              & not the "Gold" clasp.

If they are supposed to be together then the
"Silver" clasp is missing from the so-called 'set'.
Seeing that there is a "Gold" clasp & a "Silver"
clasp award document where is the document
for the "Gold" clasp if, again, it's supposed to be
              a 'set'.

              Just out of curiosity!

Erich Carl did receive the Golden CCC (on sept 8, 1944) according to Manfred Dörr's book on the subject - and the doc for the silver grade looks correct to me, based on these pictures.

                  I personally like both clasps

                  Great webshop by the way.

                    Dirk:

There was no problem on the 'Silver' award document
for the Close Combat Clasp, we were discussing the
missing 'Silver' Clasp & wondering how he had come
up with 2 of the 'Gold' versions in this grouping.

Door's book hasn't got "all" the recipients in it so, you
can't use that as The 'Bible'!

                    Ron.
