    Hi Mark,

Pics could be a little clearer, but I like what I see. For me an original JFS in very worn condition.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            Jfs 25 gab

Just for an update on this badge which adds to it being 100% original.

All the things I sent you Dad brought back from the war. As little kids we used to go downstairs and look in "The Box" at these. Dad once told me the story about the 25 assault badge. He didn't know one badge from another but he liked that one when he saw it on a POW in Germany at the end of the war.

Dad asked a French soldier guarding the German soldier if he could have the badge. The French soldier took the badge from the German and gave it to Dad. My Dad felt a bit bad for the German so he stuffed a pack of cigarettes in the German soldier's pocket. The French soldier wasn't impressed and took the cigarettes from the German soldier and kept them for himself. I guess there was no sympathy for the losing side.

The soldier was an RCAF Leading Aircraftman (LAC) with the 438 Squadron. This was a Typhoon Squadron.
