4 rivet IAB in good condition, original?

these are heavily faked, I guess mine is good, but I would prefer to let it be reviewed...

    Thanks for comments!

it comes from a very good source, but I want to be sure...

The copies I have in my database are close, but have some small differences, especially at the bajos rivets.

I can only agree with Graeme, a fine original you have there. Fakes of these are decent, but they still have a long way to go from originals IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Yours has a good look to it, with nice hardware set up and pin.

The acorns have a nice "criss cross" pattern, a lot of the fakes have "dimples" on the acorns.

          cheers

btw: on all my examples I had in my collection so far, there was a tombak pin with another type of pinpoint. Do we know this pin on the 4-rivet IABs?

the needle is magnetic, and I`m sure it was not replaced. The badge came through an antique dealer from the vets family.

                        Hi m-e-h-t,

I can't see any signs of a replacement as well. I just wondered if this is a new type for me, because I don't know this type of needle on this IAB variant.
