Badges ground found

Hi,

Two badges ( KM and WH ) which were ground found somewhere in France. Quite nice, but prong missing
Is the third a genuine one ? IMO, I've a doubt...

You are right in your assumption, the IAB has the wrong obverse design and pin setup for a WH made badge. It is a fake.

Here is a real WH IAB..note how the real ones have a nice finish and the repros have that zincy look...which you actually do see on many real badges.

Ummmmm...I think the badge that John T shows might not be authentic... or at best it is highly questionable! These badges have been discussed before.

How sure are you of your conclusion? The badge I have posted is also shown on pages 26 and 27 of Tucker's second book "GERMAN COMBAT BADGES OF THE THIRD REICH, volume 1". I have always accepted these "shiney" WH IABs as good.
