      Hi Chris......

......About the closest that has been determined to date, about a manufacturer for this GAB, is that it is made by R.K. This doesn't necessarily mean Rudolf Karneth. At this point who R.K. was remains a mystery that is yet to be solved.

I'm curious...How have you determined this?

So far, this type of badge has been, in the past, attributed to Karneth. the most recent information says maybe.

Sorry Bruce, maybe I was a little presumptuous in my reply. I should have said these ASA's are referred to as Karneth block hinge variants. Sorry for the confusion. Stewy

For me, I'm not a super forensic, but am okay making the link to RK based on the similar finish, quality of base metal and hardware as the RK marked PABs

                    Hi Chris

                    A nice original badge imo.

For me, these have never been one of the nicest designs and the eagle "features" have never helped in this respect.

Both Bruce and Blued make very valid comments

I guess at this point in time, stating Kreisel made this badge is as speculative as stating Karneth is the maker... Unless you have any new evidence to support Kreisel ?

                    regards
