looks like Karneth in my eyes too when I look at the eagle head they use to be like deformed or with big eye?
My last GAB was same setup but with ball hinge as I remember.
Thank you too, Tom and Peter
So there were different set ups from this maker?
Yes there are a few. The one you have is called "crimped in sheet metal hinge" Then there are with criped in bal hinge with a perfecty round top and bal hinge with a flattened top.

You must be new to the world of collecting GABs. What you have is a classic original Karneth, as the other guys have said. Be aware that Karneth pumped out GABs like your by the boatload. It is far and away one of the most common GAB types, and probably the most common. A good starter badge though if you like the GAB motif.

Hi JJS, and thanks for your reply.
Actually i can't say i am new or not, because i am not starting a badge collection. I am a uniform/headgear guy. I just buy occasionally a few badges to complete my displays. Yes GABs are nice looking badges and i like displaying them along with IABs and EKs. I got another one today so in total i have 3.
IMO the best looking badges are the LW ones but a bit pricey. Definitely worth their money though.

Fine original for me as well. Definitely made by RK in Gablonz, just not sure if "RK" stands for Karneth or Kriesel.
Tom
Toms comments show that other makers have been discussed on this forum, so there is doubt with Karneth, something to be aware of. The fact that it is not known for sure that Karneth or Kreisel made these badges could also mean another manufacturer was responsible.
