This is a cast copy, the originals had 4 sprongs attached to them.

Peter is right. Its a cast. Here's a picture of type 2 (army large oak leaf wreath) just to show you the 4 clips. The Army had 3 types. No wreath, large oak leaf then narrow oak leaf wreath. plus Panzer badge
