          Its not OM Giel, its a "W".

          Don, I saw this one too and was tempted to pick it up myself as a little mystery. However, what turned me off about it was the reverse hardware setup. The hinge is cheap, and the catch is not what I would consider wartime IMO.

          And then the pitting on the reverse was another red flag.

          And finally the same type of "W" mark is shown on a common fake GAB, I believe page 400 in the Heukemes GAB book.

            Not my cup of tea either. Very pitted revere with a horrible hinge on there!

              Here is a close up of the wide "W" mark on the GAB being referred to - I own this particular GAB.

              You can check it against the IAB "W" to see if they are the same or similar. The "Ws" look different to me.
