If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Nice copy in my opinion- zinc type setup on a non zinc badge, rivets are not at all typical Juncker, eagle design wrong, wreath too thin.... same faker as the rising ghost type IMO with that fairly distinctive patination and base metal.

Agreed - quality fake. The wreath is missing several points it should have and the eagle is close but no cigar

        If that's a fake it's a really good fake.

Fake and a very good one too. If you look at Page 458 of your book Tom you really see some differences in the eagles.

Tom, I have been schooled by the very best regarding Army Paras namely you and Marc. There are so many glaring differences on this badge relative to recognizable characteristics that you would think, A It's an aberration or B a copie, fake, junk ect.

Can't fool you guys, well done fellas. Indeed a well made copy that has a good likeness to original Junckers at first glance, but several small details are incorrect such as the rivets, finish, hardware, etc.

This came from a very old collection, so just goes to show you can't be too careful no matter how comfortable you feel with the source.

                Thanks guys.

                Tom

p.s., Steve hope to catch up with you at the MAX.
