    What your opinions?

    Regards

A nice original, not sure who the maker is though. Notice that a variant catch has been used ( you can see the guide markers in the die stamp of the award). Stewy

          Hi Sergey,

I can only agree with the others, a fine original in very nice condition with good silver finish remaining. There is some evidence pointing to Meybauer as the maker of these, but its not conclusive IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            Hi Sergey

One of the better designed unmarked badges imo

These do show up occasionally in good condition and the set up seen on yours is known. As Stewy pointed out, the rectangular catch guide was probably initially designed for a rectangular catch plate. This design also comes with a crimped set up.

I have always referred to these as "hollow rifle" unknown.

            best regards
            Graeme

              Hi Sergey

I also agree this is an Unknown Original.

Because of the very similar obverse features with the known Vienna makers, this one has been categorized as part of the Vienna Design family of IAB's and called the hollow rifle variant for ease of identification.
That said, Vienna is just one of several possibilities in regards to "who" and "where" this example originates from.

Here is one I have to compare.

              Best regards, fischer

Hmm Vienna design and not. The PAB brother of this one (scooped out seven wheeler (what makes it to the Meybauer link)) has a very own design, more linked to the Schickle design than to Vienna design. Both share similarities for sure.

Nevertheless a very fine piece you have there!
                Kind regards,
                Giel
