3 IAB Good (original) or bad?

    Hi,

Are these three IABs original or replicas?
Unfortunately I have no more pictures as I am thinking of buying them to complete a part of my collection.
    Many many thanks in advance.

    Best Regards, Maarten

I believe that all are good originals. The 3rd is the only one I question at all because I'm unfamiliar with these types.

              Hi,

in my opinion all three IABs are fine originals.

              2) attributed to Steinhauer & Lück
              3) B.H. Mayer / Otto Schickle design

                Hello Maarten,

All three look like nice originals.

It appears that number 2 has a replaced catch/catchplate. This type of badge should have a crimped-in catch. Yours has a catch and catchplate soldered over the top of the crimp boss.

                Best regards,
                Tom

Here is what the catch should look like on the typical S&L attributed Infantry Assault Badge:

I can only agree, 3 fine originals. Tom is correct on the S&L, catc looks replaced to me as well.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

The badges seem to be very interesting indeed.
