    Juncker GAB

This one was just picked up cheap and thought I would post it as it would appear to be an uncommon version.

It is copper undercoated which if found is usually on the hollow badges, this one also features a variant catch and catchplate.

For sure seen a bit of action, hope you like it.

This appears to be a half moon but with a different hinge

I agree; unknown maker #12 with a variant set up.

        Hi Patrick,

Nice original but catch is replaced IMO.

I didn't know these were considered Juncker-made, although it is certainly possible. Is there more of a connection that I missed?

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks Guys, you are quite right.... the hinge threw me off, it is indeed a half moon with variant assembly. The catch may be re attached hard to say but i think it is the original as it has copper visible on it.

              Hi Tom,

As far as I know there is no connection. Unknown maker #6 in the Heukemes book is attributed to Juncker according to the data base here (and elsewhere).

              regards, Wim

                Hi Patrick,

Perhaps some side shots of the catch will show its configuration better, but I am quite certain it is a replacement. The plate looks OK and probably original, but the catch itself isn't wartime IMO. The copper color looks to be the base metal of the catch, not necessarily the same plating that was typically applied to these GABs prior to its silver finish.
