Hollow back silver IAB -- opinions?

I'm lightening up on my non-Luftwaffe items, and here's one on which I'd like opinions before offering for sale. Hollow back IAB, always appeared to me to be a tarnished silver finish on tombak. I don't know the maker, but I thought I'd seen a similar hinge on a different S&L badge. I'd like to hear your educated opinion on this one.

Totally agree. Very poor fake.

The head and other detail always appeared poor to me, so I'm not surprised it's bad. Just wanted to check. Thanks for your replies.
