        Hi Igo,

        I see what you are saying about the hinge possibly being repaired, I see it too. It looks to be under the finish, so it looks like the hinge was crimped in and the crimping didn't punch down all the way, so a dab of solder was added to strengthen it at the factory. I have seen this on a few other badges with crimped hardware; I have a F&CL IAB that had some solder added to the hinge crimp at the factory to make it more sturdy. Since its under the finish, its nothing to worry about. A very nice RK as the others have said.
