    2 x Panzerbadge ( C. E. Junker ???? )

    Hi Guys !
I get a new Panzer badge in bronze for 2 days ago . This is of the unmarked type , beleived to be made by C. E. Junker , Berlin .
On this pics. I have compares the new one , with one other Panzer badge in bronze that I have in my Collection .
Is really this two badges made of the same maker ?? .
Look at the open "window" , and the two "windows" on left side , and the two headlights on the tank .

    Hi Lillegutt,

for me these are 2 differant badges. The gold shimmering one could be the new fake that Frank (Munich) showed a couple of weeks back, can´t tell from the photos as you really need to have this in your hand.
Otherwise one could be from Junker and the other from Fritz Zimmermann (FZS), who also uses this setup on his IAB.
    Just my opiion mind you.

      Hi Lillegut & Skip,

clearly two different makers! To me, both badges are ok. We have to be careful not to create some false statements. The bronze badge I posted weeks ago and that skip refers to was NOT fake (at least not in my opinion). Lillegut´s badge features the same die imperfection on the back and look ok as well. I posted a SILVER badge with very much the same characteristics that WAS fake (also in my opinion). It is very hard with these badges to determine if they are fakes or not. A picture most of the times doesn´t help. But the copies "feel" strange, the pin doesn´t move smoothly, the badge feels as if it wasn´t used or handfinished enough, it is just very "raw" and the base metal is wrong (some white metal better than zinc). The good ones just "feel" right, have logical wear and are zinc.

      Here is my good one:

          PAB in Bronze !

          Hi Skip and Munich !
          Thanks for input !
And like Munich I think that both of this bronze PAB are OK .
One of my is similar with Munich`s bronze PAB .
Hope we one day will find out who is the maker of this different PAB`s . One of them I think is Junker .

            Hello again guys,

Frank my Bronze PAB is a spitting image of yours.I,ve been looking for some time for a silver one of these but they seem to be much rarer.Do the silver ones also have the die imperfection?, has anybody got one of these in silver?

              Skip,

I have a PAB with an identical die flaw mark as Frank's. It has no finish left, just bare kriegsmetall, but was probably silver as I would think bronze would leave some remains of finish. It lacks the hinge and pin, but looks otherwise like Frank's.
