    Silver Infantry Badge review

This Infantry Badge came with an officer's tunic that I purchased recently. The tunic belonged to Lt Heinrich Strutz, IR 37. I'll include a photo from a previous owner of the tunic "as found" from the family in Germany. No markings on the back. Just wanted to verify the originality and maker. Thanks in advance!

          Hello

As stated, a nice tunic w/ awards.

Your IAB is original and the maker is unknown. Collectors refer to this one as the Pillow Crimp variant due to the pillow shaped crimping that holds the hardware in place.

          Best Regards, fischer

I agree, a nice original by a still unknown maker. There is some evidence to suggest these might have been produced by BH Mayer as their later-war IABs, but nothing conclusive yet.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
