    2014 SOS Pickups

    Hi guys,

I am enjoying seeing everyone elses finds from the SOS show, so figured I would show mine. All in all, it was a great show for me and was able to find a few missing badge variants over the entire spectrum of Heer badges.

First up are the IABs; a pretty minty Gottlieb and Wagner and unmarked Frank & Reif. Hard to capture the shiny G&W finish, it really is bright in hand.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Found a few Rettenmaier GABs in very nice condition. First one has the common rectangular catch plate. The 2nd one doesn't appear to have a catchplate, which would be a new variant as far as I know. There is quite a bit of solder for it, so there may be a small plater under there somewhere. At first I thought it might be a replacement, but the finish is perfect around it and the shape of the catch and tool mark on the tip are correct for this maker.

I have been missing an "Assmann-2" GAB, so I was glad to add this one to the collection as well as an early hollow Schickle/Mayer PAB.

Last but not least is this 1st Pattern JFS clasp. Although I already have several JFS clasps, including three 1st Pattern examples, I couldn't help adding this one to the company. Nice two-tone finish that is fading from light to dark bronze. I am always impressed by the level of detail and quality of construction with these JFS badges.

        Thanks for looking.

        Tom

Wonderful badges tom walking around with you is a real education. I have never seen anyone deconstruct a badge like you do. Well done!

And I love the ejector markings on that GAB!

              Hi Tom

Very Nice Additions; looks like you had a great show!

The G&W is very well preserved; as you know these are more commonly found completely faded to gray.

              Congrats!

              Best Regards, fischer

                  Tom,

It looks like you had a very successful hunt at the show. That G&W IAB is the finest I can remember seeing.

                  Thanks for sharing.

                  Congrats,
                  Eric

Great to hang out with you and the others again. Had fun!

That flat back is a first for me with that variant catch, really neat to see it in hand.

The others are really nice, especially that CCC and bronze PAB Excellent haul overall, well done!
