Very nice Scott!!!! Those are all very nice examples and the FCL is a killer!!! So rare to find at all and even more so as a Bronze.

I missed being there with you guys but it looks like you guys got all the great stuff so I may have come back empty handed!

          Good Show

          Scott,
Great meeting you at the show and I am glad you nabbed some good badges. Rangers might not be too bad this year.....we are about to find out though pretty soon.
          Cheers,
          Kale

Congratulations Scott, sounds like you did your homework before the show. Going there with a goal has paid off by the looks of it.

              Well Done,
              Mike

Great stuff, Scott! I wouldn't have left that BM Hymmen IAB stay lonely out on a table either! First rate PABs!

                Best,

                        Hi Scott

You must know the guy on the door, it looks like they let you in first !!

You always seem to find some awesome badges.

The Wurster IAB is just terrific

How do you feel about the GWL PAB catch? It is not a textbook shape and with the finish on that badge I would expect to see some bronze on the catch too.

congrats on such a successful show.

                        regards
                        Graeme

Yes, sorry to say Scott the catch on that GWL PAB is a replacement.

This one stopped my heart 2 years ago at the SOS, thought I found a gem but noticed the catch repair and put it back down. A year later, Dave Wyatt found the same one and bought it, only to show it to me a little later in the show where I gave him the bad news. Looks like you were the latest victim.

A very hard to see repair, but if you look at a side view of the catch, you can see the shape is not correct and that was the first red flag for me. Then, if you look close right at the bottom of the new catch, you can see the original solder from the original catch.

Sad thing is, both I and Dave told the seller that the catch was a replacement, so he must have blatantly disregarded our observations and sold it without mentioning the repair

                          Tom

p.s., Graeme, very good eagle eye you have! Its a very well done repair and one that was hard to spot even in hand. Well done.

                          Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

No one has seen Giel since he ran off with that 19yr old. I think either you guys lost him or else he has moved to Kentucky...maybe a shotgun wedding boys!
