    Hello gents,
these badges are little bit out of my field of collecting, so your comments would help me a lot.

Attempt to mate a Luftwaffe wreath with a Heer eagle. and it looks like a panzer eagle...

I saw another like this a while back- interesting piece and worth getting if cheap. It looks like that one has a thick coating of silver paint - would need an acetone bath to see what we really have

        Patrick,

The main issue is they must have glued or soldered the eagle directly. The ball hinge uses a unique ball which locks into place in a recess in the back of the eagle that is made for it. No other eagle will fit unless made to fit.

Nick, I agree completely, its a total parts badge but if all the parts are wartime then collectable as a curiosity IMO- would need rid of that paint to tell for sure

            Hi guys......

......On my monitor I am seeing what looks to be scant remnants of a bronze sort of wash in the crevices.

In all honesty the badge doesn't look to me like it stands a snowball's chance in you know where of ever having been constructed of genuine TR parts. All FAKE IMHO.....straight out of the gate bad. Just a crudely cast reproduction.

The shape, the surface not specific(IMO) to the period german badge makers. If this badge combat worn, or ground dug, it does not look like anothers. The remains of the finish..maybe subsequently treated..and the reverse side..
Sorry,I haven't got period feeling with this badge.

My first impression was how bad the details are. The leaves in the wreath have little detail and appear to be deformed in places.
