After looking through many of the threads on these badges, I believe this is an original badge.

I have to admit, the details look soft on this one, but that may be due to the lighting and photo. Do you happen to have a weight?

              Hi guys,

This one looks fine to me.

What were your concerns Howard? I think the soft detailing is due to the lighting, in some of the pics the details look better than others.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

It was me, not Howard. I guess from the pics, I would chalk my concerns to the lighting then. For me, I would be most comfortable handling in person since I can't tell. But if the others are good with it, jump on it!

                    Here were/are my concerns.....

1). Came in a group of stuff that had some fake items.

2). Badge is very clean an shiny.

3). The "C" catch and Hinge cause this badge to "Stick out" more than what I am used to seeing.

                    4). It's a badge.

I will post some better photos when I return home. Currently on the road.

                    Thanks,
                    Howard

As promised, more photos of the badge. Which matches with 1.3.2 in Heukemes book.

                              Hi Howard

I think your badge is a good one. Maybe a little wear to a couple of the high points but most details look accurate and the stamped maker mark is nice and crisp.

I think the best pics are the in posts #4 and #13

                              regards
                              Graeme
