    GAB Maker?

    Hi,
Any any ideas for the maker of this one?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Ferry,

This is a new one for me. Looks like a takeoff on the S&L GAB, but the details are quite weak and the soft reverse edges, weird reverse hardware and weird finish all point to a reproduction in my opinion.

Notice it also has the flaw on the top left part of the wreath that is common to other S&L fakes, so another bad sign for this one. I think this is a relatively new fake on an old design.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I have to agree with Tom and Neusilber. I don't recognize this one; but it has several suspicious characteristics. I would avoid.
