Looks fine based on this pictures. Is the catch placed in a rectangular recess?

      Hi Del

Can you post clear close ups.

For me it does not look quite right from those pics, especially the reverse has that pitted look and not too keen on the pin.

      best regards
      Graeme

Hmm, the pin miss the typical pressed spot at the top hinge area. Is it that what you mean Graeme?

        Regards, Wim

            Hi Wim

When I first looked at the badge, for me the badge appearance just looked not quite right. As you know, a lot of period originals, just have that "good" feel about them, and for me this one did not. So then the pin looked a little thin and possibly out of place. You mention the pressed spot, plus often the pins are cut flat at the sharp end... and from the one reverse shot the tension bend looks like it may be very large..

There are variations in pins so the pin might not be an issue, but taking the appearance of the obv and rev, I thought I would flag it up.

            regards
            Graeme

              Hi guys,

I have the same thoughts as Graeme. At first the obverse didn't really look right, but the reverse looks OK and the finish looks OK so I tend to think it is probably good. Better pics of the hardware should tell us if we are indeed looking at a good one or a well made fake.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
