          Gab

The pictured badge was manufactured by Grossman & Son, Vienna. This type of badge is sometimes maker marked 11 (for Grossman). Its very different from Juncker's GABs.

              No, not common at all.

Definitely not Juncker. I don't have my references with me, but that's a first that only the bayonet is hollow.

JJS, can you post some pics of an "11"-marked GAB, I don't recall ever seeing one of these?

                    Thanks

                    Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                      Nor me

I think there may be some confusion here

                          Grossman & Co GAB

Attached are the scans requested of the maker marked "11" GAB which I believe can be attributed to Grossman & Co, Wien.

                              Grossman & Co GAB

So there you have it...a Vienna design, maker marked GAB by Grossman & Co. This came from the Frank Heukemes collection as a direct purchase from Frank back in 2009.
