    First IAB

    Hey all

Understand this one has a repaired catch (assume well post war), but aside from that, what can you all offer? Thanks in advance.

Nice Muller type IMO, with a replaced catch assembly.

Thanks, PzCrker. I'm new at these, but from what I've seen in looking at others here, things that point to this being a Müller are the scalloped hollow on the reverse side (by the bayonet) and the oval at the top of the pin/hinger. Anything else (on the front of the badge)? Thanks again for the help.

It looks like it have been repainted on the back, do you have any inputs on that Ken?

Definitely one of the more unique designs and quite desirable IMO. More impressive "in hand", which is always a plus.

The finish on these is usually pretty bright, but yeah, it's probably been "retouched" when they replaced the catch. Hardware replacement involving a re-weld would darken certain areas considerably. One could say "messed with", but in the end, it's up to the owner/collector.

                  Hello,

I agree with Andy. The reverse looks like it has been painted. It appears to have brush strokes running every which way.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

On this IAB we can clearly see how the finish should look like
