    L/56 iab

    Hello,
Picked this up a few weeks ago in a gun shop. I think it's good, but wanted to get your opinions to be sure. I can't quite get the pin to open as the hook is just a bit too tight.

      Hi Dale,

Very nice original F&BL, looks to have a good amount of the silver finish remaining.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks guys! Glad it was a good one, it's getting difficult for us dinosaurs that don't carry the latest gadgets, but I'm still doing ok going with my gut and experience.

                Hello Dale

A nice LDO marked Funcke & Bruninghaus with a round wire catch. This variant can also be found with a flat stock catch.

That must be a pretty awesome store...a Gun Shop that also stocks IAB's, sounds like my kind of place...

                Nice Example!

                Best regards, fischer

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, it was a nice gun shop of the kind you don't see too often nowadays. Unfortunately it's too far away for me to get there very often, which is probably a good thing as my wife wasn't too happy with how much money I spent!

                      Hi Dale

Are wives ever happy with how much their husbands spend, especially if it is not for them !

Your badge appears to be lacking some detail in the bayonet fixing area (check out another to see what I mean), but still a great looking example and nicely maker marked. Nice heavy badge

                      congrats
