HI Fellows, can anybody tell me who they think the maker of this Panzer Badge is?

    Thanks, John

      John,

Not an expert at these, but try looking at this site created by one of the forum's own. Great look at many of the different makers of the PABs:

Just checked, could not find one like it, although Mike does show about 6 stamped versions. John

            Hi John,

Just recently we found out that these PAB's were made by Franke & Co.

Look at this thread were the only solid marked version I have even seen was discussed.

              Hi Philippe:

Thank you very much for that link! I read the thread and then clicked another link in that thread that went back even further.

Would you say that the badge I posted is what you had mentioned as the "third pattern daisy"? I know I have a daisy somewhere but on that one you can easily see a daisy...on this one it is hard to make out a clear daisy...but something is there on the grass area.

                Hi John,

Don't look for the Daisy on these badges, it isn't there. Just classified it like that because to me this badge is related design wise to the two real Daisies and it just was a way to cataloque this PAB.

Since we now know the maker this is no longer necessary, so just forget about the "3 pattern daisy"

                  Hi Philippe:

I have learned something new. Thank you for clarifying that for me and for the information on the maker. It is always nice to match up who made an unmarked piece.

                  John
