Hello Guys.
I have been talking lately with a vet and his son about his fathers missing badge.
Im kinda in a mission to find it for him , but i really dont know where to start.
Here is the info i got on the badges he had on his early tunic
1. a badge for wounded in black. (easy find
)
2. and he had also a badge Gebirgstruppe Berchtesgaden with picture of edelweiss and the mountain (Watzmann) he lost it when he was prisoner of war. it was a rectangular sign size perhaps 8 cm .....
He wore it where the ISA should be in the middle of the pocket, i have examined the loops on his tunic and i thought it was for an ISA but it is not....
What could be the mystery badge he wore on that tunic ? I have asked him if it was heerebergsfuhrer badge (the first that came to my mind) but it wasnt the one.
I would REALLY appreciate any help i could get....
