Paratrooper Badge Fake and Damaged?

I just purchased two items for not a lot of money. This is the paratrooper badge. Not my area of expertise. Pin on the backside clasp has been removed to glue badge on to some sort of display. But badge seems to be decent quality. Is this a damaged repro or a damaged legit badge.
