IAB help.

Hi all,
Could someone tell me if this IAB is mid or late war?......I'm guessing mid?? It is plated over I think zinc but I'm not totally sure.

I agree with Dan, this IAB appears to be a mid war zinc badge. The IAB is my favorite badge and yours is a nice example.

Thanks for confirming what I thought!!

I have just noticed an identical badge in Michael F. Tucker's book German Combat Badges of the Third Reich on page 16!....he has it mid-war as well!!

No Problem. There are some really awesome Infantry Assault Badges out there. Here is a link to Mike Pinkus's site. There he has a sweet IAB zink badge in silver marked #4. I know, cuz I sold it to him! http://ww2militariabuysell.homestead.com
