    IAB's more.

Guys, can you help me out on these two please?

    One bronze, one silver.

The silver has a NUMBER scratched into it. 40/9143. I thought it was a date, but on closer examination, its not. Could it be a feldpost number?

    Thanks,

    Allan

    Hi Allan,

in my opinion both are original.
The bronze one is attributed to Rudolf Karneth and the silver one is attributed to Steinhauer & Lück.
The bronze one you can also find with an unpebbled surface which is much more rare.
The silver one exist with different types of setups. The setup on your example is not that common.

    Best regards
    Sven

Hey Allan, Sven knows his stuff. I've got a bronze RK like yours also and unfortunately I just sold another smooth leaf bronze RK not realizing that it is less common than the pebbled leaf. Duh. I like the set-up on the silver. Nice pair. Regards, Dave

Nothing more to add, Sven nailed it perfectly.
