    Schauerte & Höhfeld GAB

Renewing a membership on a site dedicated to collecting badges can do things to a man, so I went on this great looking (not often seen) GAB by Höhfeld. Just a great design IMO. Hope you like...

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Wow, no kidding. That is a nice one and I bet the scans are not doing this one justice.

Thanks Chad. Images are compliments of a seller who knows the right one for the hobby, and, knows not to monkey with the settings.

I bet you're right on that Chad. It's been years since I've owned a badge with that much "schnee" remaining. --Actually, I've never owned a 100% brass based badge with schnee on it! Interesting set-up too, and, really has me thinking on the finishes in regards to rank, parade/dress, and/or secondary badges. There was a finishless S&H GAB in the "weissmetall" N/S, that recently sold too, which makes me think on a certain IAB...

Thanks guys. As you know, I've rarely strayed from IABs, but what the hell, it's another 365 days. Smart lookin' piece too!

                        Hi Ken,

a beautiful new addition!!! I like these S&H GABs as well and this variant with this type of hinge is really not encountered very often.
Congrats on adding this beauty to your collection!!!

                        Best regards
