Both original bronze grade. First one's hollow buntmetall and the other known as "oval crimp", a zinc based variant with a unique set-up.

I have good feeling with your badges. The first Wurster, the second "oval crimp"( not easy to find) and I think all originals.

Indeed, both are good examples. The tombac Wurster is the sc "organised grass pattern" and the second is a zincer known as the "oval crimp" PAB. This maker as yet is still a unknown.

              Zinc stinks!

I can only agree with Ken and Chet on these two

Agreed with the others. First one is a nice early war piece

Nice badges Sharkster, would you mind posting a clearer obverse photo of the second badge? Thanks!

The oval crimp is actually a Deumer...maker was discovered by the great detective work of the infamous Durante.

                          Hi guys,

I can only agree, both originals.

Here is a good thread on the Oval Crimp = Deumer connection. I found the "missing link" at the SOS a few years back:
                          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...l+crimp+deumer

Also the fact that the "oval crimp" IABs, which are certainly by the same maker as the PABs, have been found in Deumer-marked packets.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
