    Very special SHUCO IAB

    Hi,

Here is a S.H.u.C.O. 41 marked IAB, it has a very worn look with no finish left but it is very special because it has a strong stamping error.
As you can see it has too much material on the left part, material that it is missing on the right part of the badge.
The rifle and the swastika show well the problem.

What do you think of it, is it an original badge ?
Do you know other examples ?

Sorry for the pics but it is the best I can do for now :

    Best regards

    Benjamin

    Hi,

Well I assume the poor quality of my pics should be the reason of this lack of interest.
Happily I just got my good camera back and I tried my new lenses tonight so here are some new pics, not perfect but better :

Earlier solid, zinc based, 4-stem Heubach '41 marked, that's "slighlty" out of alignment. Not "textbook", but some collectors pay good money for misprints. Looks like this one saw service too.

            Hi Ben

I agree with Ken , that this looks to be an original, that has had some wear and tear.

You do see this "feature" occasionally, and it is obviously an error in the manufacturing process. Possibly the dies becoming misaligned in some way.

Interesting to see, thanks for posting

              Hi,

Thanks for your comments gents, it is the first time I see such a misprint like that.
I like its particular design because german badges are usually near perfection, it is like the black sheep in the collection !

              Best regards
