    Hi Marcel,

Thanks for the additional pics, very good and typical of this type of Deumer-attributed GAB.

It is intersting that this exact catch is more typical of GWL badges IMO. But ofcourse both being from Ludenscheid, it makes sense that both Deumer and GWL used a common hardware supplier for some of their awards.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks for the additional info Tom. Glad to see everything is ok and that the catch is in a typical style. At first I thought the catch was "embedded" in a rather sloppy way because it isn't placed completely straight and level. But then again, I haven't had the opportunity yet to compare with others in hand.

        Hi Marcel

Your extra pics are very clear , thanks for posting as requested.

It seems that quite a few of these catch plates sit above the sunken guide, even some of the ones soldered in a level fashion do not appear to fit. Quite strange really, as I always assumed the catch plate and the sunken guide were linked.

The one Dave posted, is almost identical in the way the catch sits.

        best regards
        Graeme
