    Juncker Heeres Flak in buntmetal

    Gentlemen,

I would just like to run this one past you all. My latest buy from the weekend fleamarket. Not cheap but very hard to find.

This badge may be 100% OK, but I have seen these on the website of a dealer I don't exactly trust.

Let me explain that I am not saying this particular badge is not good. It looks quite OK, but I have just seen a few Juncker Heer Flaks for sale by a dealer that I don't exactly trust. This particular badge may be completely OK though. We need some input from other members who have handled original examples. One thing that is for certain is that many fakes use the Juncker name, so it is always important to be extra careful with such badges.

In fact isn't this the only buntmetall heer flak badge ever to have been produced?

so true, but I dont recall seeing a fake with the skipped E in CE JUNCKER, like this one has (as do the zinc badges). Even if this didnt have a maker mark, there would be no doubt in my mind its a Juncker.

This badge looks great, awesome find.

                            Thanks guys,

I´ve been hunting one of these for the last 5 years and I was starting to think that they had all landed in collections.
There was never a doubt in my mind that this one was good. Once you have it in your hands you just know it.
                            Into the collection it goes.

That's interesting the way the bottom of the eagle's wing connects to the gun barrel. It doesn't look like it needs to be made that way structurally. If it were mine I'd snip that little bit of metal to give the design a cleaner look. OK, not really, I could get used to it.
