    Found: Solid buntmetal GAB

    Hi Guys,

I always suspected that there must be a solid, buntmetal, GAB somewere so I was not that suprised at eventually finding one.
As I only know of one company that made both solid buntmetal PABs and IABs it was also not that suprising to find that the same company also manufactured these GABs.
This is a first for me but has anybody else got one?

      Hi Skip,

A beauty! A friend has one just like that in his collection. I've been trying to get it for quite some time now. Actually, I think I am pretty close to getting it, at last, as I have something he wants

      Congratulations,
      Albert

          Hi Skipy,

Very nice indeed and it only makes sense that Wurster produced these in buntmetall to. I have seen them offered on dealers sites as buntmetall badges but I always had my doubts. However after seeing your badge there is no doubt possible that they did exist and from now on I'll pay more attention when I see another one.

In the meantime I found a silver "w" makered Wurster PAB. Based upon the mm and the fact that it features the small "w" it almost has to be a buntmetall badge but the pics are to bad to be absolutely sure. Since I don't know who the badge belongs to I think I better not post it.

PS: does Frank already have this variant for his article?

You read my mind! I was just thinking, "This will curl Frank's toes!"

                Hi guys,

Indeed I do have one of these here with me currently to scan it for my book. I examined it thoroughly and it is indeed a massive Tombak badge (not a Tombak coating on zinc, which is something I have found on another GAB, different maker).
                Cheers, Frank

Not so secret, buddy, Kai Winkler has two of those in his archives!
