    My New GAB50

Well, I think I have a winner here. It is a mint "RK" GAB50. It has gotten the thumbs up from a few very knowledgeable guys on the forum, and it is 100% textbook in every way.

    Stunning!

    Congrats!

    Lovely piece!

I have never seen an award document that comes with this medal though.
Have you got such an award doc with the medal?

      Jeroen,

No document with this one. As nice as this one is, it was likely never even issued. I too have never seen an award document for one of these.

And how about a GAB 25 document?

        Best,

            Hi John,

The badge really deserves some better pics than the one you posted, wouldn't you agree

              Philippe,

Yeah, I do need to get some more detailed photos up. The other ones I have are too large to fit here, so I will need to take some more soon.

                These pictures....

... make it impossible to determine anything about this badge. However, having said that, I cannot understand how you can call this a "textbook" badge when neither the grenade, the bayonet nor the eagle are aligned properly in the wreath, based upon the photo you have shown.

Rick, I agree that from this picture it is indeed very hard to determine anything. As for the alignment I think this is caused by the very funny angle the picture was taken from.

                    Pascal,

Both you and Philippe saw the detailed photos of the badge. You both seemed to like the badge. No problems right?

                          Peter,

I promise I will get some photos up for you guys too. The problem is that the ones that I have now are much too large and detailed to post on the forum. I will try to get some photos that will fit this week.

Hi DEK...Send me your large, detailed photos and I will post them for you. Always helps to see large, clear scans when studying the #'d GABS.
