    what is fake about that badge?
    Actually there can`t be fakes of 57 awards because they are still produced in our days. You don`t need a special licence to make 57 awards. So everyone who makes a 57 medal makes an original medal.

      Hello ,

      It looks a very poor sandcasting of an original 1957 retired pilots badge .

      Also i was under the impression that the manufacture of 1957 awards ceased in the mid 1980,s and that the companies who produced them like Steinhaur & Luck are just using up the stocks they have left , can anyone else shed some light on this ??

        Hello

        Steinhauer & Lück is still producing 57 awards. Not all different awards but for sure Iron Crosses and Knight Crosses.

          I belive that the makers of 1957 awards do still manufacture them for the collecters market - the quality though is quite poor.
