Trash and Treasure: Ebay GAB 75s

This week, on the same day, two number 75 General Assault Badges popped up for sale from different sellers. One had a buy-it-now, and the other a set low price. Both were described as 75 GABs.

The proposed sale of both these badges illustrates what Ebay is all about these days for collectors: a hosted site with the very good and the very bad for sale, side by side.

Here are the two badges: I'll let you draw your own conclusions about which is the good one.

Good assumption, Chet! Sadly, the goldish first one was the first to go...but the second one is still up if someone needs it.

which one was the original and which one was the fake ?? i would guess in this case that the original was actually the nice condition one ???

Yes, the original one is the one in the nice condition. It was the one listed with a buy-it-now.

It is amazing such nice badges can be found on Ebay - and such crappy ones!

I understand how folks gravitate towards price, but I though what was remarkable about the situtation was that a complete crap badge and a very nice original badge were both for sale on Ebay, and on the same day at that.

And yes, it was a very good price but the point is - good things can pop up in the venues collectors love to denegrate.
