    Infantry Assault Badge

I picked this many years ago along with some other German items.

The badge itself is non magnet and very very heavy. Well worn.

Just wanted to see what you guys think. is it late war?
    Thanks
    Bryan

        Hi Bryan

In my opinion, it is a well worn original zincer.

This badge has been known as the "deformed leaf" and has been associated with Deumer.

The hardware on your badge is a known variation for this design of IAB. I must admit the pin looked "fat" on first glance as already highlighted, but suspect all could be ok..

Clearer pics would be nice including a reverse shot with pin open, plus closeups of hinge and catch.

        best regards
        Graeme

            Hi guys,

I agree with Scott and Graeme, nothing wrong with the reverse hardware IMO.

A fine original Deumer, but not much finish remaining unfortunately.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Here are pics of the back. I had it authenticated years ago. purcashed it from a reputable dealer also. I liked the worn look. I was 16 when I bought this. My first badge purchase. The thing i can never get over is how heavy and dense this thing is. What is a ballpark value on this, I would love to see if I did okay on this. Thanks for all your help guys.
