    GOLD CCC - emedals

This beauty posted on e-medals today.

Price Upon Request ... I guess the old adage .. if you have to ask, you likely can't afford it.

    Hi Darrell,

Looks very good, practically untouched. I am sure this will be a pretty penny, they are few and far between, especially one as nice as this.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Tom, I'm not up on CCC's. Were the Gold Tombac ones commonly unmaker marked like this one?

        Hi Darrell,

Yes, all the presentation pieces are unmarked. But there is no doubt that they were made by Juncker. The obverse designs are identical to the lower-grade, Juncker-marked zinc examples. The rivetting and hardware are also typical "Juncker" production in my opinion.

Now that's my kind of Bling. A Gorgeous Clasp that's as beautiful as 24kt.
            Thanks for posting Darrell.

Tom and I were discussing this behind the scenes. If anyone wants to send them an email to see what the "asking price" is, it must be over 20k ?

                    Gold CCC

For me this award is the apex of recognition in terms of bravery.Nonetheless it is a case queen awarded and boxed, I expect a replacement was used by the recipient in everyday wear. Personal preference dictates battle worn, please do not take this as a criticism , merely a preferred collecting aim.
                    Beautiful piece

Different "inset" catch compared to the type 1, and the oakleaves in the box don't match the "type 1" --or the zincers. Tom's book has some great pics of both types...

P.S.: Weitze also had a "type 2" in his inventory recently --and I think it's gone...

Knock off that "0" and you could have got it's zinc brother that sold on m-123 recently. Sorry, meant to say 321.
