It looks to be a nice original.

FZS IABs had many variations of hinge and catch set up, but the hinge on yours is strange imo. The sheet metal hinge usually just has the main pin bent round the hinge pin, yours has a small barrel that is usually seen on the barrel hinge set ups.

It might be the light but the catch area does not appear to blend in with the finish. It is probably the pics though.

Here is an example that shows how the sheet metal hinge usually looks.

Nice pictures.. I think the catch looks fine and the hinge has probably always been like that. There is only one mark on the reverse of the badge where the tension foot touches the badge and that ties in with your pin.
