    Some IAB Identifications ...

    Gentlemen,

I need your help in identifying these IABs. I will have several pristine examples with me at SOS next week, in both Bronze and Silver, but want to get some more info on them before setting prices and offering them at the Show.

Can you provide the makers on these? Sorry, I have PAB and GAB reference books but not one on IABs.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Pristine is right... The 1st is a superb example of a tombac based hollow Deumer, followed by two of the so called "egghead" design in zinc --same conditions. You just don't see badges with that amount of white come by too often. Would love to see what else you got...

        Thanks

Many thanks, Ken. Additional comments welcome.

Just a quick note. These are NOT for sale at the moment. I do plan to bring them to SOS but that is not firm yet. It will depend on my research as to their current value vs. what I have in them. So please do not e-mail me or send PM's, asking to buy something for now. I just don't have time for a lot of correspondence right now as I prepare for the SOS. I will have a couple of hundred items for sale there as I am cleaning out most of my collection.

        Best regards,

        Mike

                And more ...

I am not familiar with this maker mark ... I have this maker in both Silver and Bronze (I think).

                Thanks,

                Mike

                    And finally ...

I think this is the last for now ... this is one of my favorites. Slightly shiny on the reverse, which does not show in the photos, leading me to believe a lacquer finish still intact. Beautiful contrast to the obverse and detail.

                    Appreciate the help in ID'ing.

                        Id

In post #8, I believe these to be E. Ferd Wiedmann badges.

                          Hi Mike,

I agree with the others, all fine originals that have been correctly identified IMO:

1st is a hollow "egghead", not sure who the maker is (but good possibility is Brehmer).
                          2nd hollow is Deumer.
                          3rd is a solid "egghead"
                          4th is an S&L
                          5th & 6th are both Wiedmanns
                          last is a ShuCo design.

Looking forward to seeing you at the SOS!

These were usually called as Schickle because of the catch.
