    IAB by J.B. & Co. - different marking .. ?

Going through previous posts , I have little doubt left that this one is original , the detailing is superb .
However , the few marked badges I found , have the same " J.B. & Co " marking , but in a different place = in the middle of the rifle butt .
Any thoughts ? Thanks for looking ..

No problem a rarer variant of a rare badge
          Best regards, Andreas

            Thanks .. !
The hinge has what seems to be a period repair , but the detail on this one is impressive .
Am I correct to understand that the J.B. stands for JULIUS BAUER ? I think I also read a single suggestion of " Joseph Bergs " ..

Based on your photos i don't see a real repair. Imo the retaining bolt is moving out of the hinge - but imo no problem for such a nice badge.

I can't help you withe the maker because Joseph Bergs would be a similar guesswork as Julius Bauer.
              Best regards, Andreas

I agree with Andreas, the badge looks good.

What is the repair to the hinge you speak of? Has it been reattached or is it the hinge pin sticking our of the side that you are referring to?

                Best Regards, fischer

                  Very nice badge

Here is another with the maker mark in a similar position, but a little more finish remains

                  best regards
