I like it very much. Could you provide a picture of the the same quality as the front shot with the bayo and grenade? With the golden clasps you have to make sure that everything is in order regarding the non magnetic backplate of the piece...

          Regards,

          Daniel

              Hi Kyle,

Clasp is a fine original, but the hinge is repaired. Looks to be glued back in place.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                Thanks Tom,
It would appear a late issue slightly worn piece as for the hinge I have not had it in hand as yet but hopefully soon will.
                Thanks again

                    Hi Kyle,

Not very worn at all, its in excellent condition IMO. If it weren't for the repaired hinge, I would have tried for it myself on the auction.

                      Thanks Tom,
I appreciate your thoughts so many of these were dished out at the end of the war I suppose wear and tear is minimal if kept correctly post war.By the way in your experience what is the best way to keep the CCC in it's current condition?
                      Cheers Kyle

The hinge issue - does it prove a problem gentleman in terms of provenance or value.Accepting provenance is subjective lets look at the impact on value.
                          Cheers Kyle

                            Hi Kyle,

I think it affects the value a bit, but its still a very nice CCC with great finish. And all the parts are original IMO, just somehow broken and repaired.
