    Juncker NS IAB

    Gents,
I would like to share with you my latest addition to my humble Heer badge collection. This is my first in NS and I love to detail and general appearance. I hope that you like it as much as I do.

    Comments are welcomed and appreciated.

    Hi Phil

A very nice piece with a lovely patina which gives it that nice appearance like you say. However, I do hope you know that the needle is a replacement here.
    Kind regards,
    Giel

      Hi Phil,

Very nice IAB, lovely Juncker in excellent condition.

I agree that the pin looks to be a replacement. I would also look closely at the catch too, make sure that is not repaired as well. Looks a little thick from this angle.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Son of a ......

        Giel,
Well crap.... I was not aware that the pin was a replacement. I sent so much time comparing other fine details that overlooked the pin. I must say I'm a little disappointed but aside from the pin I am really happy with this badge. Live and learn... I guess

            Tom/Giel,
Any more thoughts on the catch with these additional pics? IMO it does not appear to be any signs of replacement for the catch.. Sorry not very good pics it was difficult to get the catch focused. Thank you in advance

              Hi Phil

Hinge and catch look perfectly fine. If the price you paid was a normal IAB price (not an expensive-dealer-Juncker-price) I would say you did good, even with the replacement pin!
              Kind regards,
              Giel

                Sweet

Thanks for the second look Giel. The devil is definently in the details.

Nightstalker, good hunting! Great avatar BTW. I was a "Balls of the Eagle" right next door.

Hello Tom, thank you as well for the confirmation. I noticed in this thread:

                        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=NS+IAB

You showed two of your examples. Would you consider this badge one that was left unfinished or one that has no "frosted" finish remaining?
