Are you sure your catch is replaced and not just sloppily soldered? Looking at other GABs of this type, they do have this particular catch with little rectangular catch plate! (Chris Varveris collection)

Yes I am sure about this. The catch on this one was replaced by drilling into the catch plate. This picture should clarify it.
