                      Wow!

That is an absolutely spectacular Gold APB.
100% proper and 100% authentic. You are one of very few people to own
such an already rare badge, but in gold, and in such excellent condition.
Everyone wants a real APB, but that is a jaw dropper.
I can count all of the original gold badges that I have ever seen, on one hand.
By the way, is that the one Bill Shea had here recently?
                      Thanks for sharing!

Update to set the record straight.

I met Detlev at the MAX and showed him the BKA I started this thread with. He said it was an excellent badge and wanted it for his update. Good enough for me so if you have one like it I wouldn't throw it away yet.

Quote"I can't even begin to tell you how many Junker variations there were, but there was way more than three. Probably more like 10 or 15.
The number of cutouts can vary, as they do with the later manufactures.
Some were made of Tombac, some Aluminum, and some zinc. There was a version with diamonds, a version with a blue steel plated sword, some with markings which can also vary, some that were completely hollow, some solid and flat back, some round pin, some wide pin, etc.
They also used several different dies as did the other manufactures.
I think there may have also been some other earlier manufactures besides Junker, that made APBs that were marked, but I'm not sure.
                                Hope this helps! Chris"
